1)-  International Day to Protect Education from Attack is observed globally on 9th September.

The day was established by a unanimous decision of the UN General Assembly, calling on UNESCO and UNICEF to raise awareness of children living in countries affected by conflict.



2)- Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated the Patrika Gate in Jaipur, Rajasthan through video conference. The Patrika Gate was built by the Patrika group of Newspapers on the Jawaharlal Nehru Marg in Jaipur.

The Patrika Gate is a memorial that reflects the cultural heritage and architectural style of Rajasthan.



3) The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) recently successfully flight tested the Hypersonic Technology Demonstrator Vehicle (HSTDV).




4) Facebook-owned WhatsApp has partnered with Cyber Peace Foundation (CPF) to create awareness on cyber safety among students. The partners aim to reach about 15,000 students in five Indian states, including Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Maharashtra by the end of this year, under the first phase of a pan-India programme.



5) Tamil Nadu state government on September 7, 2020, released a new Electronic Hardware and Manufacturing Policy 2020 which aims at increasing the state’s electronics industry output to $100 billion by 2025. The policy will also be undertaking the skill training of over 1,00,000 semi-skilled and skilled people by 2024 in order to meet the incremental human resource requirement.



6)The Education Ministers Meeting will take place as part of the Sherpa Track for the G20 Leaders’ Summit 2020, which is to be hosted by Saudi Arabia at the end of 2020.




7- ) Vice President of India, Venkaiah Naidu has released “The State of Young Child in India” report. The report was prepared by a policy advocacy organization, Mobile Creches. The report measured Health and Nutrition in the country.

10) PUBG Corporation has decided to end the PUBG MOBILE franchise with Tencent Games in India in the view of the latest developments. The PUBG Corporation has decided to take on all publishing responsibilities within the country moving forward.
