  • The Indian Air Force on September 10, 2020, formally inducted the Rafale Fighter Jets in a special induction ceremony at the Ambala airbase in Haryana. The Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and French Minister of the Armed Forces Florence Parly attended the ceremony along with other senior officials from Defence Ministry. The aircraft was formally inducted into IAF with Sarva Dharma Puja which was followed by an air display of the fighter jets and water cannon salute.

  • Union Minister of State for Shipping (I/C) Shri Mansukh Mandaviya yesterday (10 september )launched ‘SAROD-Ports’ (Society for Affordable Redressal of Disputes - Ports) through virtual ceremony today in New Delhi.
  • Department of Water Resources, RD & GR, Ministry of Jal Shakti is functioning as “Centre of Excellence” in the field of training and capacity building to water sector professionals in the planning, development and management of water resources.

  • Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah inaugurated and dedicated to the people development schemes in Gandhinagar district and city worth Rs. 15.01 crores via video conferencing.

  • The Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on September 9, 2020, launched Doorstep Banking Services by the Public Sector Banks. 


  • The Department of Posts has launched a scheme called Five Star Villages, to ensure universal coverage of flagship postal schemes in rural areas of the country. The scheme seeks to bridge the gaps in public awareness and reach of postal products and services, especially in interior villages.

  • Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will participate in ‘Grih Pravesham’ and inaugurate 1.75 lakh houses built under Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana – Gramin (PMAY-G) in the state of Madhya Pradesh, on 12th September, via video conferencing. All of these houses have been built/completed during the current challenging COVID-19 pandemic period.Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh will also be present on the occasion. The program will be telecast Live on DD News.

  • India and Japan have signed an agreement concerning Reciprocal Provision of Supplies and Services between the Armed Forces of India and the Self-Defense Forces of Japan. 
 The agreement was signed on September 9,2020 between Union Defence Secretary Dr Ajay Kumar and Ambassador of Japan Suzuki Satoshi.

  • Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers Ltd  -RCF a PSU under the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers has started its Methanol Plant at Trombay Unit, Mumbai from 8th September 2020. This is a step towards Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan.
