• A webinar (online event) on Promotion of Indian Languages organised by Central Institute of Indian Languages (CIIL) under Shiksha Parv  on 16th September 2020. A series of Webinars is being organised by Ministry of Education to highlight the salient features of the New Education Policy (NEP 2020) Under Shiksha Parv.

• The Lok Sabha has passed an amendment bill to the Banking Regulation Act on September 16, 2020, to bring Cooperative Banks under the supervision of the Reserve Bank of India.

• Titan Company has partnered with the State Bank of India (SBI) to launch India’s first contactless payment watches named “Titan Pay”

• Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare attended Joint G20 Finance and Health Ministers Meeting through video conference, here today. Saudi Arabia bestowed with the Presidency of G20 grouping hosted the session.

• India has been ranked at 116 positions in the latest edition of the World Bank’s annual Human Capital Index. The Index benchmarks the key components of the human capital across all over the countries. The 2020 Human Capital Index has included education and health data for 174 countries- up to March 2020. 

• The Small Industries Development Bank of India (Sidbi) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Rajasthan government to develop the MSME ecosystem in the state.

• Social media giant Facebook has partnered with learning platform Coursera to offer a social media marketing professional certificate.

• The Income Tax Department carried out a search and seizure operation on a prominent Hotelier, owning a chain of Hotels at  Srinagar, Gulmarg, Sonamarg and Pahalgam with another hotel under construction at Leh.

• Aditya Puri, MD, HDFC Bank was conferred the Lifetime Achievement Award by Euromoney Awards of Excellence 2020.

• India has entered into Air Bubble agreements with 10 countries viz. USA, Canada, France, Germany, UK, Maldives, UAE, Qatar, Afghanistan and Bahrain.
